On average, one third of the children in our programs do not have any experience in the given camp's sport / activity of the camp. This is why we start with a thorough overview of the basics and make sure that everyone's skill level is taken into consideration. For campers who have extensive experience, our counselors make sure that all drills and instruction are at an appropriate level.
Yes they will. All camp locations have bilingual teachers / counselors helping your children out in whatever language they are most comfortable. General group announcements will be done in English and repeated in French for all participants. For more information on our French instruction please call our camp office at (613) 276-4307.
Our camp directors and senior staff are male and female, elementary and high school teachers. All other counselors are university and college students. They are a minimum of 19 years of age and are hired for their positive, energetic attitude, their extensive experience working with children, their knowledge of athletics and their proven leadership ability. A majority of the staff is bilingual. We have been told time and time again that our counselors are what set our camp apart. In addition, all counselors have a vulnerable sector police check and all camp locations have at a minimum 3 certified first aiders with up to date first aid and CPR training.
